In July, the Monroe Play House received a routine fire safety inspection.  A small number issues were identified including such items as recharging the fire extinguishers and putting a "This door to remain unlocked during business hours" sign over the front door.  A return visit was planned to ensure that these issues were dealt with.  Over the next month, we addressed these issues.

On Monday September 22nd, the inspectors returned to perform the follow-up inspection.  To our surprise, this time the inspectors felt that there were serious safety hazards in the building citing items that hadn't been mentioned in the previous inspection.  These items were deemed to be of such severity that Thursday (the 25th), the Monroe Fire Department declared the building unsafe for use.

As a result, performances are being scheduled at other locations. Please read the show descriptions for the locations and dates of the performances.
