Show Summary: "My Fair Lady", a musical comedy by Alan Lerner and Frederick Lowe is the musical adaptation of George Bernard Shaw's "Pygmalion". This is the story of a Cockney flower girl's transformation into an aristocrat of unknown origin (Hungarian?) by a professor of linguistics who is a self-assured, arrogant, long confirmed bachelor. But in addition to the emergence of Eliza, there is also the awakening of Henry Higgins and the life changes for Alfred Doolittle, Eliza's father. The plotting, the lessons, the testing at Ascot and the ballroom with the infatuation of young Freddy all contribute to the wonderful story line highlighted by many memorable songs: "Wouldn't it be Loverly", "With a Little Bit of Luck", "The Rain in Spain" and " I could have Danced All Night" to name a few. "The smiles, the frowns, the ups, the downs" have made this have made this a well loved piece of musical theatre.

Rating: We rate the show as PG, due to minor oath-taking and portrayals of drunken merry-making.

Characters: All roles are available, including the following leading roles:

  • Henry Higgins

  • Eliza Doolittle

  • Colonel Pickering

  • Alfred Doolittle
